Visitor Features:
- Form for visitors to submit a business or personal listing. The business
or personal listing
goes directly into the database, but will not display until the
web administrator verifies and approves the listing.
- Options for visitors to search listings by Type and Sub-Type, By State,
and-or by City. The categories are those you choose to place your
listing or to look to find a listing.
- Form for visitors to suggest or request a new Type, Sub-Type and-or
a State or Province.
The request you make is stored in the database until approved or deleted by the
web administrator. When approved, the new additions automatically
display on the web pages.
- Your free listing will be for one year and must be re-submitted at
the end of that year.
Banner Features:
- The banners, to the right of the pages, are to be used to display your business.
They may be linked, as you choose, to your own website or advertisement.
- Note that each banner is one half of the size of the standard sized
banner. You may submit your banner or have one made. The banners must be
234 by 60 pixels.
- The banner display is for a one month period, and requires a five
dollar placement fee. The webmaster address for the banner display is
oaktreemail@yahoo.com.
System Requirements
Your advertisement will be installed on a hosting service providing:
- FrontPage Extensions
- ASP Support
- Access Database Support
This is a FrontPage template. In order to use this template at
its best, you
should have Microsoft's FrontPage 2000, 2002 or 2003 installed on your computer
on which you prepare your advertisement. You may submit your final copy to
oaktreemail@yahoo.com for
publishing.
Getting Started
Plan your advertisement and Listing to optimize your goals. Design and
construct your advertisement in its final digital form. Submit the digital
advertisement with payment and instructions. To place your free Listing,
an advertisement or payment does NOT need to be included with the
free Listing, go to the menu at the top of the page and open "Submit a
Listing".
Making Advertisements and Listings for the Directory
If you are familiar with ASP coding, you
are free to prepare your advertisement specific to your needs. Please note,
however, that we cannot troubleshoot problems arising from your coding.

assistance in the preparation of your advertisement.
If you are placing a free directory listing. Please refer to the
following instructions.
- If your Listings will be for Michigan, use the "Listings by City"
and add it if it is not already available.
- If your Listing will be for another state, you will probably want
to ignore the "Listings by City" and use the "Listings by
State" when you submit your Listing. You will need to use the "suggest a
State/Province" when you add your Listing.
- If your Listings are for a certain type and sub-type, you will probably
want to review the "Listings by Type" page to determine the
best placement for your Listing,
as well as the reference to "suggest a type/subtype" if necessary to
provide a type.
- Bodybuilders, and other non-organizational and non-business
Listings, should use the "Personal" type.
Please note that the ONLY selections available to visitors using the
Directory are the
Type, Sub-Type, and State/Province fields, which are suggested by you if
they are not already present.
Payment for Advertising Placements
The Michigan Bodybuilding Advertisement Rates are tentative and are
subject to change at any time, but are expected to be as are listed
below for this year.
- A simple text advertisement, without graphics or hyperlinks, will be
placed along side of the standard banner display for the agreed period of time.
One week: $6, two weeks: $10, three weeks: $12, one month: $15. This
will include four lines of 9 pt Verdana text, that is the size of the primary
type on this page that you are reading. Add one dollar per week for each
additional line of text.
- Placement of photographs, graphics and advertisements will receive
an estimated cost from us, after you have provided us with information
of your space requirements and the duration for placement. Please
contact us with any questions that you need to resolve,
oaktreemail@yahoo.com.
You may use PayPal to send us your payment, or make any other
arrangement necessary, prior to the placement of your advertisement. You
may open the PayPal payment option by clicking on the PayPal square at the
bottom of this page. After completing the payment with PayPal you will be
returned to this page.
You will receive the payment transaction details; when completed,
these transaction details will by emailed to you.
You will be able to log into your account at
www.paypal.com, at any time, to
view details of this transaction.
