Striving For Stardom

I will definitely be competing many more times. I love the sport and I am excited for the future.

After winning the overall figure at both the Natural Michigan and Central States, I am currently in off season. However, I will maintain a CLEAN off season because I qualified for nationals at Central States. I will not compete at Nationals this year, but instead I will wait until next year so I can have even more time to prepare.

Working out has always been a huge part of my life.

I love to train and I have a huge passion for the sport. Recently, I competed in my first Figure Show, the 2008 NPC Natural Michigan on July 19th. I went in with a personal goal of getting top 5, but I ended up winning first place for the short class AND the overall figure.

I was born in Peoria, Illinois on March 11th, 1985. When I was only 6 months old, my family and I moved to Troy, Michigan and have been living here ever since. I have always been into sports and have tried my hand at almost everything. I was in Ballet and Tap dance when I was very young, from age 3 to age 7. At age 7, I wanted to try something new so I joined gymnastics. I competed as a gymnast for 5 years, but left the sport to join middle school sports. At Fuhrmann middle school, in Warren, Michigan, I ran track and played volleyball. Once I got to Warren Mott high school, I joined the cheerleading squad where I cheered for 3 years. Then, finally my senior year, I had enough cheerleading and again wanted to try something new. I went out for the guys wrestling team. I wrestled on Varsity at weight 103lbs and had a personal record of pinning a guy in 16 seconds at a Varsity Tournament.
